We advise you to keep your insurance valuations up to date.

It is essential that valuable jewellery is accurately described and listed, especially if you have a household insurance policy which stipulates that jewellery should be itemised separately.

Jewellery needs to be revalued about every five years. We supply detailed descriptions and photographic images as part of our valuation service.

The charge for jewellery valuations are as follows:

We charge 120 for the first item and £36 for any additional item. Individual items worth less than £1,000 can be listed as a group with minimal descriptions for a fee of £120 per group of up to four items.

Exceptional jewels such as tiaras, collector's items, etc. are subject to negotiation.

We also undertake valuations for probate purposes, the charge for which is 2 per cent of the total value (plus VAT).
